Tinnitus Treatment & Management

Many people experience ringing or other noise in the ear or head. Our tinnitus evaluation involves a medical exam and an audiological evaluation. After clearance from a physician, we will determine the nature of this noise (i.e., crickets, buzzing, or tones), the patient’s perception of how loud the noise is, and the degree of interference in daily activities. Based on these results, we will discuss possibilities for management, such as tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT) and other sound therapy treatments. Tinnitus evaluations are scheduled through the office of Medical Center Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of Houston, P.A., and follow-through management through Medical Center Hearing Aids.
